Artist Statement

"Art for me is a magical experience. The limitless play of light, color and texture fills me with wonder and touches me deeply. People fascinate me with the diversity of their personalities, emotions and behaviors. When I receive a commission I take the time to get to know my subject or subjects so that I not only capture an excellent likeness, but portray them in a manner that reflects who they really are. This is always a process of wonderful possibilities for myself and my clients."

Bio

Robert began painting in high school and continued his painting during undergraduate, graduate, and post graduate work. He received a Bachelor of Science at Ohio State University, Master of Arts at University of Texas Austin, and then did graduate work in painting at North Texas University. Professionally, he has worked as a graphic designer; freelance illustrator; art gallery director; magazine art co-director; author; theatrical set designer, builder, & painter; stained glass designer; remodeling contractor; and fine artist. Over the past forty years Robert Fiser has exhibited his work in juried exhibitions as well as galleries all over the USA. Selected juried exhibits include groups such as Allied Artist of America, NY, NY; Art Association of Harrisburg, Harrisburg, PA; Salmagundi Club, NY, NY; and the National Arts Festival, Carrier Foundation, Belle Meade, NJ. Fiser was a finalist in the Artist's Magazine's Annual Portrait Competition. His work has been purchased by universities, corporations and private collectors through out the USA and Canada.
