Sunrise Senior Living- Bellvue, WA

Sunrise Senior Living is an assisted living community. These murals were painted on the Alzheimer floor.  Murals are used to disguise elevator doors so that residents are much less likely to focus on leaving. Before painting the murals residents would congregate around the elevator, anxious to leave. With the doors disguised, anxiety levels are greatly decreased.

The dome mural was painted in an alcove room that has a waterfall and bird sounds and is a comforting and peaceful place to hang out in.
